Meet Tucker as he gives all a watchful eye
Meet Tucker as he gives all a watchful eye.

Meet Tucker. He is believed to be a Border Collie mix and had a ruff start in life.  Tucker spent the first year of his life locked up in a trailer with 15 other dogs. He was nothing but skin and bones and was fighting to stay alive when he was rescued by Sanilac Scoopers. Because Tucker missed out on the very important part of social development; he was very fearful. Amanda from Sanilac Scoopers fostered him and worked hard at socializing him, however he still has some issues. He would show signs of aggression if anyone walked past his crate, he would growl at men, he would lung after other dogs and kids. Because of these behaviors; he was scheduled to be euthanized.

I was asked to evaluate him to determine if there is a chance at saving his life. I soon realized that he has a wonderful personality, wants to please, but will act out when fearful. The good news is that once he is corrected, it is very easy to redirect him. Allowing him to realize that the potential threat wasn’t really a threat. With treats he would warm up quickly to new people and dogs. I decided to give him a chance at life and have begun working with him, so off he went to Bonny’s Bootcamp.
